# SwapU -- Peer-to-peer vehicle swap coordination (Australia)

SwapU is an Australian technology platform that helps private vehicle owners swap cars directly with each other, without using a dealer. Each party transfers their vehicle to the other, paying any agreed cash adjustment themselves. SwapU does not negotiate vehicle prices, value vehicles, or act as agent for either party. SwapU Pty Ltd (ABN 38 633 008 456) provides coordination infrastructure, market data, and a structured process covering PPSR checks, identity verification, a co-signed Swap Agreement, Bill of Sale documents, and an optional escrow payment hold. Swaps observed on the platform have allowed owners to avoid double stamp duty in some jurisdictions and dealership trade-in margins. SwapU currently operates across Australia with a focus on South East Queensland.
